How to Best Way Bypass the Microsoft Account Requirement During Windows 11 Installation

Are you trying to set up a new Windows 11 machine without linking a Microsoft account, or perhaps you find yourself without an active internet connection during the setup process? Unfortunately, Microsoft has made it increasingly difficult by removing the straightforward “offline account” or “local account” option directly from the standard Windows 11 installation screens.

However, there is no need to worry. A simple hidden command exists that can quickly redirect you to the traditional local user creation screen. In this comprehensive guide, you will learn exactly how to bypass the mandatory Microsoft Account requirement during your Windows 11 installation seamlessly and securely.

Step-by-Step Guide to Bypassing the Microsoft Account Enforcement

If you prefer to maintain your privacy or simply want to use a local account instead of connecting to a Microsoft account during the Windows 11 setup phase, just carefully follow these simple step-by-step instructions:

Boot from the Installation Media: Start by booting up your computer using your Windows 11 installation ISO, a bootable USB drive, or your installation CD.

Access the Command Prompt: Proceed through the initial setup screens until you reach the ‘Region selection’ screen. Once you are on this screen, press the Shift + F10 keys simultaneously on your keyboard. This handy shortcut will instantly open the Command Prompt window over the setup interface.

Execute the Bypass Command: Inside the Command Prompt window, carefully type the following exact command:

start ms-cxh:localonlyCode language: CSS (css)

After typing it, press the Enter key to execute the command

Create Your Local Account: Immediately after running the command, the traditional local user account creation window will appear on your screen. Here, you can safely fill in your desired username, a secure password, and security questions for your offline profile. Once you have entered all the necessary information, simply click on the Next button to proceed to the next step.

Finalize the Installation: After successfully creating your local account, Windows 11 will automatically resume and finalize the installation process using your newly created offline profile, completely skipping the annoying online Microsoft account enforcement screen.
